In recent years, Broward County has sent a number of players to Ivy League schools and it looks like that will continue Wednesday--especially with one school alone sending five players to some of the nation's top academic schools.
According to St. Thomas Aquinas coach Rocco Casullo, five Raiders will send five to Ivy League schools including kicker Nolan Bieck (Princeton), linebacker Cole Champion (Yale), linebacker Tyler Drake (Pennsylvania), quarterback/athlete Max Lescano (Princeton) and defensive back Vernon Harris (Dartmouth).
"It just tells you the kind of character kids we have at St. Thomas and the kind of teachers we have at St. Thomas," Casullo said. "It's really a compliment to our faculty and how they prepare these guys for college."
