Aquinas graduate Tavares Gooden was drafted in the 3rd round (71st overall) by the Baltimore Ravens. The standout linebacker graduated from STA in 2003 and completed his collegiate career at the University of Miami in the fall.

- Michael Irvin addresses 2007 Raider players. Michael Irvin, who played at St. Thomas in 1983 said his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame helped him realize now was the ideal time to reflect on his past.
