I came across this driving home from Aimee's last night. Apparently, someone living at The Polos is in for a difficult semester.
As for me, I think I've got a pretty good schedule, though only after a nervous few hours spent reworking it. I guess I had a touch of the hubris to think that I picked a winner during regular registration and had no need for drop/add panicking like most of my fellow students. However, I know now that I am no superman, but I think English Professor Richard Burt is more disappointed with that than I am. I had to drop his class due to his (insane) attendance policy. I like the guy a lot and found him to be pretty reasonable. This is why is struck me as very odd that for his Department Seminar, Lang and Hitchcock, he would only accept one unexcused absence and after you exceed that you are subject to course failure (and he is playing pretty fast and loose with the definition of "absent," let me tell you) Oh well, I got it sorted out and am now taking a class with a professor who is apparently insane, but more importantly, has a sane attendance policy.
